The Journey
From Eden created to Eden restored

Introduction

The word of God reveals His character.  The enemy of good has tempted us to fear God as a severe judge with a harsh, exacting and unforgiving nature.  Our connect group is on a quest to rediscover the true loving character of God as manifest in each book of the Bible and revealed in the life and death of His Son.  Instead of the circular voyage of life that many seem to be enamored with these days, this quest, the Journey, has a historical beginning and an ultimate goal - from Eden created to Eden restored.

The Journey meets from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in person and via Zoom online conferencing:

The Journey 2024 Schedule

November 23, 2024 - Hebrews

Teacher: Gordy Gates

The book of Hebrews - I think of it as more like a mountain that you have to climb. It's not an easy book. It's probably not your 1st choice in the New Testament. It's complex, it's detailed and it's not just stories, but it's a lot of theology. And for a novice like me - not a theologian - I'm trying to approach it to understand about the cross and what happened at the cross. I want you to spend some time reading through the 13 chapters. Some of them are a little bit confusing, but watch for what's happening at the Cross because it's not just a simple thing that Jesus died for my sins. It's very broad. We're going to spend a lot of time doing that in class next week.
